The 3rd person story
Isabelle Tierney, M.A., LMFT, CSPT, BHS, is a licensed marriage and family therapist who holds an M.A. from Tufts University in Child Development, and a certificate in Brennan Healing Science. She is also an adjunct professor at Naropa University and at The Institute for the Psychology of Eating, and a regular Lecturer at Core Power Yoga Bootcamp and Contributing Writer at Teen Truth.
She’s been in private practice internationally since 1996 with a strong specialty in eating disorders (including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating) and other painful habits and addictions such as drugs, alcohol, overworking, and compulsive shopping.
Isabelle works with couples, families, and groups, and guides clients through life-changing transitions such as career, family, or spiritual transitions.
Isabelle is also a certified yoga teacher, and incorporates yogic principles to help clients re-enter their bodies and discover the freedom and joy that live there.
She is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists, and the co-founder of the Boulder County Eating Disorders Coalition.
Isabelle works with individuals privately and in groups, both in her Boulder, CO office and through long-distance programs. Additionally, she travels the country leading workshops and speaking for audiences on topics such as eating disorders, stress, and addiction. Isabelle lives in beautiful Boulder, CO with her husband and three wonderful children.
